What does PD (pupil distance) mean? Your PD is the distance between your pupils in millimeters. This measurement can be obtained by calling the last place that made you a pair of eyewear. They should be able to give this measurement to you over the phone. If they are unwilling to give it to you, you can go to any local optician and they can measure your PD for you.

What is the difference between Transitional DNA, Transitions VI and Transitions XTRActive? Transitions XTRActive lenses are the darkest everyday lens available. Outdoors, they are darker than Transitions VI lenses. It will go from a light grey tint to dark fast and is recommended in very hot climates. Transitions VI is clear indoors where XTRActive has a slight grey tint. Transitional DNA is Eye Lab Rx’s own value sensitive light changing lens that mimics the properties of Transitions VI but not recommended for temperatures consistently over 95 degrees.

How do I know if my prescription will fit into the style I like? We provide prescription limitations in the info/order section on every frame style we have listed online. You can also give any of our licensed opticians a call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your prescription and the frame you like. Keep in mind that we may be able to go outside of our prescription limitations, and we take each order on a case-by-case basis.

What is a “Test Ride”? Our test ride program allows prescription wearers the opportunity to try on a specific frame before purchasing the prescription. All you will pay for this service is the non prescription frame price, and we cover the shipping to you.
