Eye Lab Rx was founded in 2005 by Bill Wood, a Licensed Optician originally from New Jersey and, when not riding the open road, resides in Fort Collins, Colorado. Bill has been an Optician for 38 years.
Bill holds an Advanced Certification from the American Board of Opticians, and has served as a Director in the Opticians Association of Colorado. He was a Founding Director for Ensight Skills Center in Fort Collins, Colorado, which provides training and fitting low vision devices for the visually impaired.
Bill is the Optical Director for Medical Missions at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado and has facilitated medical trips to Asia, South America, Central America, Africa and Europe. As a member o the Fort Collins Lions Club, he started and oversees eyeglass programs for migrant workers.
